Song
For Sorrento
Recorded with my 1954 D-18
and
my Morgan Dreadnought in open "D" tuning with a Roland VS recorder.
The song was written for the British Columbia Bluegrass Workshop, held
every August in Sorrento, BC, where I have benefited from the experience
of musicians like Chris Jones, Curtis Jones, Slavik Hanslik and Cody
Kilby. I have a great lyric for this and need someone to sing it- I
won't even try!
I Remember Mr. Monroe
My tribute song for Bill Monroe, using a quote from Wheel Hoss for the
optional solo on this one. Thanks to Steve Kaufman for the arrangement
of WH. I played this one with the D-18 only and sang the vocal.
