Turkey in the Straw - I learned this one by ear and taught it to my daughter. She played it once at a recital. While playing the B part the second time through she kicked it up a notch and left her accompanist/teacher in the dust. She got a rousing applause from the audience and the hairy eyeball from her teacher.

Soldiers Joy - A personal favorite of mine. Also, it's easy enough for us to play together.

Red Haired Boy - The first tune I learned to flatpick. We played it in A 'cause "The Dad" thinks it sounds better on the fiddle that way.

I played my '99 HD-28, my daughter, Christa (age 12) played my grandfather's fiddle and Charlie Mason played the bass. (Sorry, it's the type you have to plug in, but he works for cheap.)

In order to meet the Chief's first deadline. We hastily recorded this on our front porch. We used a Tascam recorder that I had just bought from Bill Irwin (thanks). It was our first attempt at any of this recording stuff. When we started, I wasn't sure how to hook up all those wires.
