He is currently studying at the Jazz Conservatory in Prague.

Radek plays a Holoubek guitar, made in 1999 by a Czech luthier.

He names his major guitar influences as Pat Flynn and Joe Pass, and adds that when he was very young, his father played guitar.

Radek plays with a bluegrass band from Prague called Fifty Fingers. Last year the band won 4th place in the band contest at the European World of Bluegrass. Individually its members have won a number of awards in the Czech Republic.

Besides flatpicking, Radek also enjoys playing electric guitar with a band called Lemon Nashville, and in a rock band called Golden Killers. He says that flatpick guitar is popular in Czech Republic, but doesn't pay well.
