I'm 41 years old. I was born and I live in Paris, France. I play flatpicking guitar and bluegrass music since I'm 14. Most of the time, I study flatpicking by myself, using a tape recorder with an half-speed system and few tablature's books. I was at the Steve Kaufman Camp in June 2001. It was the first time I was in the States. This week with more than 200 flatpickers has changed my musical life. I'm glad to be a member of Flatpick-L. In this way I can keep the contact with the flatpickers community.

The photo has been doneby Jerry Noernberg. I've found this photo thru the web address of Rusty Smith after a post from Erika Brady (thank you Jerry, Rusty, and Erika). The man with the guitar is me. The man with the cowboy hat is not me. Strange isn't it ?

"West Texas Blues" is a tune from the last CD "Breakdowns and Fiddle Tunes for Banjo" of a French banjo player Eric Gloaguen. This CD has been published in March 2001.

I have decided to send "West Texas Blues", because it has been written by Eric Gloaguen (inspired by "Uncle Clooney" from Alan Munde). And also because Robin Bullock plays the mandolin. Robin is a well-known Flatpick-L member, and a great multi-instruments musician.

I play with my regular guitar, a Martin HD28 1986, with medium strings, and a Golden Gate flatpick. We play in a bed-room. The sound recorder is a digital Rolland 8 tracks.

Thank you to the Plec team and all Flatpick-L members.
