Forked Deer - Traditional yet fun tune out of C position (actually D but capoed at 2nd fret) that flows nicely. I like the transition to the "B" part of the tune in the key of A.

Tom Rock Twist : Learned this off the Gary Brewer Guitar CD. Out of G position that has a nice tempo to it. Not verbatim but most of it is close to Gary's original.

Instruments used : I used my old 1939 D-18 "Phyllis", that Ronnie Griffin restored, for lead and rhythm tracks and Nancy, my wife, played her '62 Kay Bass.

Recording information - I just got a Sony R37 MINIDISC recorder and recorded the lead and bass track first using a "homemade Radio Shack stereo mic" as posted to the list. Then transferred this to my Mac as a single track. Later added rhythm using ProTools (free stuff)! Mixed and dumped back to MINIDISC for submission to Chief.

Biographical Information - I've been playing since in my teens (now 45) and most of all, enjoyed my dear wife, Nancy, joining me on this submission. She's only being playing Bass for about 6 months and it's such a treat to have her join me and share music in the family. Hope soon to have the kids on here as well... Thanks, Gill & Nancy Robins
